Standard and Poor's is a credit rating service with a 150-year history of providing independent, quality assessments of how likely a company or government is to honor its financial obligations.
The United States credit rating has been downgraded from AAA to AA+ by this rating adgency[1] as of August 5th, 2011. While this shows how the liberal policies of the Obama administration has failed us, it is important to note this is one of the same rating agencies that were giving Mortgage Derivatives AAA ratings. These ratings led to be a part of the current financial crisis.
