Windows 98 is an operating system released by Microsoft on May 15, 1998. It was the successor to Windows 95 and the second major operating system in the Windows 9x series. It was suceeded by Windows 98 Special Edition and Windows Me. Microsoft ended support of Winddows 98 in 2006.
