Bank of America is a global banking and investment company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1998 as Bank of America Corporation. It is one of the "Big Four" banks in the United States along with Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. Bank of America is the fifth largest company in the United States.
