I'm really, really old.
I've been married for 20 years and am the mother of 2 wonderful teenaged sons, who are homeschooled.
We have 13 cats, ranging in age from 13 years old to 5 months. Everyone thinks I'm the one responsible for bringing the cats into our home, while it's really my hubby, who's a softie for a cute little kitten.
Three years ago, I suffered kidney failure because of a very rare auto-immune disease called Goodpasture's Syndrome. I was on hemo-dialysis in a clinic for almost 2 years and in March 2009, my husband and I took classes so we could do dialysis at home, with my husband acting as technician.
On January 1, 2010, while watching the first movie I had actually gone to a theater to see in almost 3 years, I received a phone call telling me the transplant center had a kidney for me. The surgery was done on the 2nd and it's now been a year. I include the donator and his family in my prayers daily.
