Sorry, this is just a stub article. Can YOU *finger point* help expand it?

Racial superiority is the belief that one race or ethnic group is superior to another. This can take several forms. Oftentimes, such beliefs are inherent in peoples and political systems, but when a position racial superiority is adopted by a state (the machinery of government over a country, an abstract entity which operates within a set of defined borders) the effect is... usually negative. This can lead to the superior ethnic group encouraging inferior groups to leave or simply expelling them from the country, a process known as 'ethnic cleansing', to purify the country by ensuring that only one (superior) race is allowed to enjoy the benefits of being a member of said country. When unwanted minorities refuse to leave as in the former Yugoslavia, the process of ethnic cleansing can necessitate the use of direct action i.e. genocide, the extermination of members of lesser races to further encourage their brethren to flee (again, Yugoslavia) or simply to destroy them outright as attempted by the National Socialist party of Germany during WWII.

However, racial superiority has little basis in fact and poses little threat to anyone provided such beliefs are not expressed by the government of a nation, which should ideally be devoid of such bias. Belief in the superiority of one's own race is an notion inherent to all people and is nothing to be ashamed of or corrected, nor should it be, because this would effectively mean promoting the superiority of minority racial groups over majority groups.
