worn by Christians?

I just want to know where does this come from, i mean can Jews not wear them? or what about Atheist? and the part about the Jonas brothers wearing them if i am not mistaken one of them no longer wears that ring, sure he has gotten married but he do not wear it anymore --Kyo 23:40, 13 June 2010 (EDT)
