Dean Rusk

Dean Rusk, (1909 - 1994) was Secretary of State for Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson from 1961 to 1969.
Other than Cordell Hull, who was Secretary of State for President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930's and 40's, Mr. Rusk held the job longer than any predecessor -- a total of eight years.
