Talk.Origins is a bot-moderated usenet group dominated by promoters of the theory of evolution.
Talk.Origins is renowned for having its own jargon. Examples include:
- "fundy loon" - anyone who believes in God or mentions the Bible. Short for the derogatory "fundamentalist lunatic."
- "moving the goalposts" - expecting an evolutionist to progress to step 2 of an argument
- "goddidit" or "god of the gaps" - derisive terms for God doing anything
- "spaghetti monster" - a peculiar parody of religion
