Limbourg (Flemish and German: Limburg) is a small city (ca. 6000 inhabitants) in the Wallonian region of Belgium. Since 1020 the castle of Limbourg was the seat of the counts - and later the dukes - of Limburg, an important duchy nowadays situated partly in Belgium, partly in the Netherlands.
