Osamu Tezuka (born in 1928 - died in 1989) was a legendary Japanese mangaka, also known as "The God of Manga." He is widely credited for introducing to manga the now-commonplace large round eyes.
His most well-known works include Astro Boy, Black Jack, Kimba the White Lion, Metropolis, and Princess Knight.
