Famous contestants

In 2007, opera singer Paul Potts won the final round.

During the debut show of the 2009 season on April 11, the performance of singer Susan Boyle became a sensation around the world, including the clip of her performance widely viewed over YouTube. Boyle's vocal talent caught the judges and audience off guard, who were initially skeptical because of her plain appearance and dress.
