Ebola River virus

I have not hear of this virus being called the Ebola River virus, but only Ebola virus. Just a silly quibble on a silly page. Viktor

The virus was named for the river. I don't know why the namers dropped the "River" part. I've even heard the virus called simply "Ebola". --Ed Poor ^Talk 14:11, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
