Watergate scandal

The Watergate Scandal was a political scandal occuring when members of the campaign to reelect Richard Nixon spied on the Democratic National Committee Headquarters in the Watergate Hotel during the 1972 presidential election, and when Nixon was caught on tape trying to cover up these events.
