Richard Lenski
This is beyond unreasonable, but I still find it quite comical. I may be a conservative Christian, but in no way does any ideological point of view call for such unnecessary nastiness directed at scientific facts. That a group of people is completely incapable of unserstanding a thoroughly detailed scientific report is beyond me. It concerns me that countless many of my fellow Christians are unable to even recognize the possibility that God's creation could have involved some form of brilliantly structured evolution or adaptation, while accepting the Bible as the only truth. I'm afraid we need to re-read the beginning of Genesis and notice the two completely contradictory stories of God's creation placed right next to each other! The truth is that scientifically proven processes are as truthful as the Bible, and that we must actually strive to analyze the Bible in attempts to discern God's meaning through human words. I pity the close-mindedness of this page's contributors, but I hope that some form of intellectual understanding may be transferred to them by the divine grace of God, or simply by re-reading Mr. Lenski's report. We should always fight to understand the workings of our God's world, rather than fight against any new way of perceiving it.
"This stupid **** should be on the front page, just to show how utterly vile and repugnant this place can be to anyone on the damn planet who holds a scientific viewpoint that differs with this waste-of-space's stone age view of magic." -- Lucaswhoa, 25 July 2008
