Huitzilopochtli

(Latin for "Huitzilopochtli, the Mexicans' highest god.")
Huitzilopochtli is the name used by the Aztecs to refer to the devil. They ritually murdered thousands of people to satisfy his thirst for blood, before they were converted to Christianity in the 16th century.
Some rural Mexicans may still worship Huitzilopochtli.
