George Bailey

George Bailey is the main character in "It's a Wonderful Life", a movie about a young man who ran his father's savings and loan company in a small town in upstate New York during the Depression and World War II. At a low point in his life, he was contemplating suicide when a friendly angel gave him a glimpse of how his town would be if his wish was granted: "that I'd never been born".
