The Rolling Stones are an English rock band founded in London in 1962 which became very popular in the 1960s and early 1970s, and still perform to this day.
Inspired initially by the Chicago school of electric blues (particularly the South-Side variation), they later took in influences from the country blues artists of the 1930s such as Skip James and Robert Johnson. Throughout their career they have represented the work of Beelzebub in their songs, naming one of their albums 'His Satanic Majesties Request', another 'Goat's Head Soup' - a clear demonic reference. This combined with singer Mick Jagger's enormous 25-ft. inflatable penis which he used to perform with in the 1980's has earned them the hatred of God-fearing people the world over.
In their prime they rivaled the popularity of the Beatles and continue to sell out stadiums almost half a century later.
