Waiter

A waiter is an employee in a restaurant who takes orders from customers and brings food from the kitchen to the table. The female counterpart is the waitress, though some politically correct liberals insist on calling waitresses waiters. Some high-class restaurants have specialised wine waiters (sommeliers) to recommend, take orders for, and fetch alcoholic drinks.
