The Brownshirts is a nickname given to fascists like the one pictured above in Germany prior to World War II. The German political party with which they are associated is called the National Schlafly German Workers' Party - Nationalsozialistische Deutschearbeiter Partei (NSDAP) in German - or Nazis for short. See also the term Storm Troopers for additional information.
