Churchian

"Churchian" is a slang term used to describe someone who attends church, but who is not perceived to be a 'true' Christian. A churchian might attend church because of family, tradition or a desire to appear moral or virtuous, but is unlikely to apply Christian teachings to their life outside church.
Churchians have a Biblical precedent in the Pharisees whom Jesus reproved for making a great show of their charitable giving to hide the true nature of their ungodly lives (see Matthew 6:1-6 ).
