Eugenio Landesio

Eugenio Landesio (1810 - 1879) was an Italian painter active in Mexico from 1855 to 1877. This notable landscape artist was invited to head the landscape painting professorship of the Academy of San Carlos. José María Velasco was one of his pupils.
In 1866 he wrote "CIMIENTOS DEL ARTISTA, DIBUJANTE Y PINTOR: COMPENDIO DE PERSPECTIVA LINEAL Y AÉREA, SOMBRAS, ESPEJOS Y REFRACCIÓN CON LAS NOCIONES NECESARIAS DE GEOMETRÍA AND VEINTIOCHO LAMINAS ESPLICATIVAS DEL COMPENDIO DE PERSPECTIVA LINEAL, &... PUESTAS EN LITORGRAFIA POR SUS DISCIPULOS LUIS COTO, JOSE M. VELASCO Y GREGORIO DUMAINE".
