Concept album
This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Rocky (talk | contribs) at 01:39, April 29, 2008. It may differ significantly from current revision.
A concept album is an album that has one main theme to it. For instance, all of the Pink Floyd albums from "Wish You Were Here" to "The Final Cut" are concept albums, "Wish You Were Here" is about both, Sid Barret and about how the record company does not care about the artist, as long as they can get their money, and "The Final Cut" is an anti-war album. Simmilarly, all Roger Waters albums (with the exception of Radio K.A.O.S.) are concept albums.
However, a concept album should not be confused with a rock opera. A rock opera has a story line to it whereas a concpet album has one main point, but no story.
