Orthodox Christianity is the major religion in Russia. Approximately 15-20% of the total population practice Orthodox Christianity. Islam is the second largest religion. Approximately 10-15% of the total population are Muslim.[1]. Majority of the Muslims live in the Volga-Urals region and the North Caucasus.[2] Moscow, St. Petersburg, and parts of Siberia also have large Muslim populations.[2] A little Jewish population is also present in the country [3].
