Orthodox Christianity is the major religion in Russia.[1] Approximately 15-20% of the total population practice Orthodox Christianity.[2][3] Islam is the second largest religion.[1] Approximately 10-15% of the total population are Muslim. [2][3] Majority of the Muslims live in the Volga-Urals region and the North Caucasus.[4] Moscow, St. Petersburg, and parts of Siberia also have large Muslim populations. A little Jewish population is also present in the country.[1]
