The March for Life is an annual event in Washington, D.C. that has commemorated the peacefully commemorates the tragedy of abortion. It began in 1974, on the first anniversary of Roe v. Wade (1973). Also a non-profit organization by the same name, its leader from the outset has been Miss Nellie Gray. Educational workshops are typically held the day before the annual march.

From its website:[1]

"Our numbers have gradually risen through the years despite reduced numbers from the snow in 2000 and the terrible 9/11 attacks just months before the March 2002. These growing numbers give testimony to the increasing ranks of prolife Americans and to the importance of the March's work."
