Lead

Lead is a chemical element. It is a dense metal which has been used for pipes, hence its symbol 'Pb', short for the Latin 'plumbum', or pipe.

Lead is toxic and in 2007, many Chinese toys were discovered to have lead. There is a controversary over whether there should more be government regulation to reduce the lead in toys, or if the free market should regulate the problem.
