There is a style common to many atheists, including:

  1. a general disbelief of almost anything unseen, such as love and the invisible hand
  2. a belief that atheists are smarter than those with faith
  3. a view that most of science is known and understood, in contrast to Isaac Newton's view that little is understood
  4. a view that each generation of humans is smarter that, or at least as smart as, the generation before
  5. a disbelief of intrinsic beauty
  6. a focus on materialism
  7. a pessimistic view of life
  8. among scientists, a belief in never-detected gravitons, black holes, dark matter, super strings
  9. a belief in never-detected life in outer space
  10. a religious-like devotion to newspapers, public schools and the Nobel Prize for credibility
  11. a reliance on hearsay and a perception (often wrong) of what most people think
