Narcissism

Narcissism is the love of ones self, to the point that the person cannot love anything else.
Liberalism is often believed to be an extension of narcissism, as shown in this article on Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Liberals [are] impressed with their academic achievements, and ... observers think they’re similarly resting on their laurels when presenting themselves as champions of the poor and under trodden. (Since when?) Liberals embrace Hollywood, perhaps the most narcissistic enclave on the planet.[1]
