A conspiracy theory is a belief that the official report on a major event is inaccurate or blatantly false in order to cover up an unattractive occurence. Generally, conspiracy theories are dismissed by the public as nonsense. Some of the most notable are the: Moon landing theories, the 9/11 theories, and the JFK theories.
