An earthquake is the alleged shaking caused when so-called "tectonic activity" in an area causes the release of stored energy from the rock. Earthquakes are said to be commonly occurring on tectonic plate boundaries[Citation Needed], earthquakes also occur along faults where previous movement has occurred[Citation Needed].

"Earthquakes" are reportedly a significant natural hazard to populations living in areas prone to "earthquakes" and responses to the hazard vary with economic development[Citation Needed].

The most powerful earthquakes occur at destructive tectonic plate boundaries[Citation Needed].

The truth about "earthquakes"

The earth is fixed, and cannot be shaken (Psalms 104:5, "Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken"), and numerous theories have surfaced to explain why so-called "earthquakes" still are reported from all over the world.

Possible theories include:

  • Some "earthquakes" has been a way for communist countries to cover-up for damage caused by war[1].
  • A phenomenon resembling an "earthquake" can be caused by nuclear weapons testing[2]. Although this would not make the earth actually "shake", the powerful infra sound caused by nuclear weapons[3] might make the earth appear to shake.
  • Unexplained "earthquakes" are suspected to be caused by mass hallucinations or other sources of infra sound waves.

There is no evidence that earthquakes actually occur, and the "scientific study" of earthquakes, called "seismology", is under strong dispute[4].
