Antarctica

Antarctica is the coldest and driest continent on the earth. Its fauna is made up of insects and other invertebrates. The continent is famous for being the home of the penguin.
The continent does not have any permanent human residents and is only inhabited by a small number of scientists. The 1959 Antarctic Treaty set aside Antarctica, keeping it free from war-related activities.
Contrary to popular belief, Antarctica has been getting colder in recent decades. The only part that has warmed a bit is the Antarctic peninsula.
