Mount Everest is a huge mountain in the Himalayas, in Tibet. It is the highest mountain in the world, although Olympus Mons on Mars is taller. It was first climbed by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgary, who famously said he was climbing it "Because it's there!"
The second highest mountain in the world is K2, also in the Himalayas.
