Safety (football)

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Tash (Talk | contribs) at 12:40, July 13, 2007. It may differ significantly from current revision.

A Safety in football is when a defensive player tackles an opposing offensive player with the football in the offensive team's goal. For the tackle behind the goal-line, the defensive team is awarded two points.
