Diadochi

The Diadochi or "successors" were the men who vied for a part of Alexander the Great's Empire upon his sudden death in 323 B.C. The Diadochi are usually considered to be:
- Perdiccas - Prime minister or chief of staff
- Antipater - Military regent in Greece and Macedonia while Alexander was away on his military campaigns
- Eumenes - Staff secretary
- Ptolemy - Personal aide and staff officer
- Lysimachus - Personal aide and staff officer
- Seleucus - Commander of the officers' training corps
- Craterus - Infantry division commander, and son in law of Antipater
- Polysperchon - Infantry division commander
- Antigonus - Infantry division commander
- Cassander - Infantry division commander, and son of Antipater
- Demetrius - Cavalry division commander, and son of Antigonus
