- IMHO. These are separate things. (British Balfour declaration 2 years after they got the Mandate and Ottoman Empire fall aren't as closely connected). But what is clear: He is dreaming big on reviving empire and overall he wants to be the ISLAM leader. The new ottomanism don't have to have past historic pacts involved, thus will be "adjuted" to current geopolitics.
