Living God is a powerful phrase mentioned 30 times in the Old Testament, and 14 times in the New Testament. Use of it clarifies the immediate presence of Jesus as God.

Hebrews 10:31 has a particularly forceful reference to, which can be helpful in overcoming addiction: "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (ESV)
