Title VI is a portion of the United States federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity which receives federal financial assistance, such as a public university program. This is in contrast with Title VII, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
