The Presidential Unit Citation, also called the Distinguished Unit Citation, is a military honor bestowed on units of the United States Armed Forces and its allies for extraordinary heroism, "gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps" against an armed enemy after December 7, 1941. The criteria make it the equivalent of a Distinguished Service Cross for an entire unit.[1]
