In Greek mythology, the Greek hero Achilles is often said to have hubris.[1]

There is a distinction between confidence and conceit ... To have self-confidence is very different from being a conceited [idiot]. A confident man knows what he can do. He doesn't commit himself to the impractical, but to what is achievable.[2]
