Alexei Rykov (February 25, 1881 - March 15, 1938) was Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Soviet Union from 1924 after the death of Vladimir Lenin until 1930 when he was succeeded by Vyacheslav Molotov, he was executed in 1938 during the Great Purge.
