Emerson Winfield Begolly AKA Asadullah Alshishani; Abu Nancy

Emerson Winfield Begolly (b. ca. 1990) is a Muslim[1] neo-Nazi turned jihadist, from PA. In 2013, he pleaded guilty to posting terror threats on Islamic extremist web forum.[2]

His online persona was "Abu Nancy."[2]

“ “Emerson Begolly used the Internet to solicit likeminded radical jihadists to commit atrocities and murder,” stated U.S. Attorney Hickton. “Through effective use of court-sanctioned investigative tools, mass tragedy was averted.”[3] ”

He was described as a loner.

“ Begolly was a student at Penn State New Kensington from fall 2006 until spring 2008.

A former PSNK student who was there at the same time remembers that Begolly always was in the campus computer lab.

Begolly looked at Arabic websites and listened to Arabic music on the computer, the student said, adding that he seemed to be a loner.

Penn State records indicate he attended the University Park main campus from 2008 to 2010 but had become a full-time cyber student last fall in what the school calls its "World Campus."

While attending the main campus, Begolly was interviewed for a January 2009 story about a pro-Palestinian rally. In the story, he identified himself as a sophomore religion major, said he is of Chechen descent and sympathized with Palestine's situation. His father testified Thursday that Begolly's maternal great-grandfather was Chechen.

Begolly's MySpace page shows a photo of him holding a Palestinian flag and making the peace symbol with his other hand.

Another photo shows him holding a megaphone in his hand and pointing to the sky with his left index finger. Still another shows him wearing a Nazi uniform.

An Internet search reveals Begolly is listed on The Jawa Report and other sites. According to the Associated Press, The Jawa Report is a blog that monitors discussions about terrorism by militant groups. Begolly uses the name Asadullah Alshishani.[4]
