Morris J. "Mo" Brooks, Jr. (born 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina) is an American attorney and Republican U.S. Representative from Alabama's 5th congressional district.

Brooks is the leading candidate in 2022 for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the retirement of Richard Shelby (R-AL). Brooks was once endorsed by President Donald Trump for this upcoming race. However, when Brooks became more and more liberal in terms of addressing the election fraud that happened during the 2020 presidential election, President Trump rescinded his endorsement, stating that he will be making another endorsement for a candidate in the race in the “near future.” [1]

In the primary, he defeated incumbent Congressman Parker Griffith, who was originally elected as a Democrat but switched to the Republican party, and defeated Democrat Steve Raby in the general election. Brooks currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee and Homeland Security Committee.
