Leverett Saltonstall

Leverett A. Saltonstall (September 1, 1892 – June 17, 1979) was a Republican from Massachusetts who served as a U.S. senator for the state from 1945 to 1967. He was previously the state's governor, and the lower legislature's Speaker prior to that.

U.S. Senate

Saltonstall voted for the Civil Rights Acts of 1957,[1] 1960,[2] 1964,[3] the Voting Rights Act of 1965,[4] and the 24th Amendment to the Constitution.[5]
