Kester Rajan
Kester Rajan is an Indian contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter from India. Kester was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in January 20,2002[1].He grew up listening to Christian music by artists like Aaron Shust and Matt Redman. Kester was given his first guitar by his father and learned to play the guitar from his music teacher. He began singing at weekly church services.
The Story
In 2018, Kester underwent through a crisis in his life. He was admitted in hospital due to megaloblastic anaemia and his Haemoglobin level dropped to 2.8 gm/dL from the normal level. The doctor told his parents that his health was deteriorating day by day and his chances of survival were reducing. His parents were devastated on hearing this news from the doctor. They began to pray for him, believing that God will surely heal him. Kester made a promise to God that he would use his whole life to serve God if he was healed. He always knew that God has a specific plan for him, so he believed that God will not leave him to die, that faith strengthened him. A few days later, his Haemoglobin levels began to rise and the doctors were surprised that he had recovered. Twenty days later he was discharged from the hospital. He went home and wrote his first song "God only knows".
Early Life
Kester finished his high school studies in SDA High School Thirumala. It was at that point that he started spending a lot of time for making music with his friend Kenric Adam[2]. They started to perform in churches and various community programs. They set up a home studio to record songs. Kenric was his pianist and he helped to prepare music for Kester's first song Just As I Am and they recorded and released that song in 2019 that was the first step into his music career. Later he released several worship songs.
Career
Kester and his friends formed a worship band called the Divine Lights and began to make music, they have released a few worship songs and it has reached out to many hearts longing to worship God.
Kester is now part of the music band Divine Lights, and even while making songs with the band, he also takes the time to make some of his favourite songs on his with his pianist AdamAudo.
