Fort Bend County is a county of Texas. It was once solidly Republican, and in 2016 it was a swing county. In 2020, the county was won by Joe Biden by well over double-digits,[1] and now the county's judge, and his Commissioners Court increased tax rates, since he acts as commissioner, even though he is a judge, as that is law in Texas counties.[2] (Note that in Fort Bend County's commissioners courts, there are 4 commissioners (2 are Republican, 2 are Democrat), plus the judge (Democrat) himself.)
