The 'First Step Act' is a bi-partisan criminal justice reform law signed into law by President Donald Trump, a notable supporter of criminal justice reform. By signing it, Trump effectively repealed the Biden Crime Bill and helped to end the mass incarceration of African-Americans. It was a major accomplishment for him and his administration.
