Pre-existing condition is a term that describes a patient's degraded wellness prior to further healthcare treatments. Insurance companies will investigate a patient for pre-existing conditions prior to starting a new policy. Medical professionals will issue continuing guidance on additional treatments only after the patient's pre-existing conditions have been confirmed.
