Dionysius Exiguus (c. 465 A.D. – c. 530 A.D.) was a Roman scholar and theologian. He is best known for creating the calendar from which the modern Gregorian Calendar is derived. The designations B.C. and A.D. come from the calendar of Dionysius.[1]
