Kay Ivey

Kay Ellen Ivey (born October 15, 1944 in Camden, Alabama) is a Republican Party politician who is the 54th and current Governor of Alabama (2017-present). Previously Kay Ivey served as State Treasurer from 2003-2011 and Lieutenant Governor of Alabama from 2011-2017. Kay Ivey won a full term as governor in 2018.
On May 15, 2019, Ivey signed a bill making nearly every abortion illegal in Alabama – the strongest pro-life law in the country.[1]
