The Mona Lisa
The "Mona Lisa" is one of the greatest paintings of all time. Painted by the Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. The painting is so masterful that the brush strokes are impossible to see, and yet the detail in the background is perfect. Above all, there is the enigmatic smile of the woman. She knows something, but what is it? Is it that she knows nobody will know her identity? Many theories have been put forward for her identity - that she is Mary Magdalene, or even a man.
